Beauty routines are an opportunity to notice changes within oneself. It is never about creating perfection but tuning up one’s complexion and troubleshooting any areas you wish to work upon. Caring for your skin is ultimately PERSONAL and results can only be seen through consistency. There are three main steps that if made a daily ritual can fortify your skin.
- Cleansing
Washing your face is the most basic and essential step of any routine. Our skins come in contact with dirt and other environmental pollutants each day and should be gently removed, therefore, wash your face to avoid clogged pores, dullness and acne.
- Toning
Balance the skin. Toning should be done after cleansing and before applying anything else on the skin. This helps remove any residual cleanser or make-up that may have been left behind. It also helps you restore the natural pH level of the skin.
- Moisturizing
The basic function of this step is to hydrate and soften the skin. Our skins naturally lose the ability to retain moisture as we age but moisturizers assist in preventing water loss through the outer layers of the skin and also complement the naturally found protective oils
